Second Rowan drillship visits Curacao early 2015

29 maart 2019

In 2014, we had the pleasure to welcome the Rowan Resolute to Curacao. That was a very successful call and Rowan then decided to also have the sister vessel, the Rowan Reliance, call at Curacao on her maiden transit from the Far East to the US Gulf.

The stopover at the Megapier lasted a mere 25 hours, she berthed in-between two Cruise ships, but thanks to the cooperation of the Curacao Ports Authority and the various service providers, all scheduled tasks were performed during the port call: about 2,000 m3 of Gasoil was bunkered, a full crew turnaround was performed, spares delivered on board, garbage and slops landed and provisions taken on board. While here, Rowan arranged team building sessions for their crews, which included tours and a guided walk in the Historic "Otrobanda" district, downtown Willemstad.

We want to thank Rowan Companies for choosing Curacao again and wish the Reliance a safe and successful drilling campaign ahead.
