Cargill Salt terminal
The Salt Terminal is operated by Cargill Salt Company. The “Saliña Pier” is a bulk salt loading facility located at the Southwestern end of the island. The facilities feature a “T Head” jetty with a conveyor belt and semi-fixed spout, which has a loading rate of approximately 1,000 metric tons per hour. There are no LOA, beam restrictions, or draft restrictions due to an open sea approach. Fresh water or bunkers are not available at this berth.
